Sons of Confederate Veterans, Delaware Division
February 1861. The nation is split asunder.
The seven cotton states have declared their independence and formed a new nation.
To the North, the remaining twenty-five are united – for now.
When President Lincoln issues a call for troops from each state to put down the rebellion, four additional states withdraw, refusing to make war on their southern neighbors.
Now four states on the border could decide the conflict before it begins: Kentucky, Missouri, Maryland, and Delaware.
Our story begins here, in Delaware - on the Mason Dixon Line.
We are the Mason-Dixon Guards, Camp 2183.
